According to the draft constitution in 2018, Chewa, Chibarwe, English, Kalanga, Koisan, Nambya, Ndau, Ndebele, Shangani, Shona, sign language, Sotho, Tonga, Tswana, Venda and Xhosa will be recognised as official languages in Zimbabwe. Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls stands as the biggest sheet of falling water in the world: twice as high and 1.5 times wider than Niagara Falls. It is 1.7 km wide, over 100 metres high, and the spray of the water is visible from up to 70 km away.

October is the hottest month in Victoria Falls with an average temperature of 27°C (81°F) and the coldest is June at 17°C (63°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 12 in October. The wettest month is January with an average of 171mm of rain.

Chinhoyi Caves

Chinhoyi Caves is a tourist attraction located in Chinhoyi , Mashonaland West Province of Zimbabwe. It hosts local, regional and international tourists who visit the country to have a realistic grasp of the country’s heartening natural environment.

Weather:

The climate is warm and temperate in Chinhoyi. The summers are much rainier than the winters in Chinhoyi. According to Köppen and Geiger, this climate is classified as Cwa. The average annual temperature in Chinhoyi is 19.8 °C. The rainfall here averages 816 mm.

Zambezi River

The Zambezi is the fourth-longest river in Africa, the longest east-flowing river in Africa and the largest flowing into the Indian Ocean from Africa.It also supports several hundred species of fish, some of which are endemic to the river.

The warmest time occurs from September to March, and the coldest is May to August. April to October (the Dry season) is full of sunny, clear weather. The Wet season is from November to March and is characterized by afternoon showers with sunshine following.

Matopos National Park

The Matopos National Park, known by many as the Matobo National Park, is one of Southern Zimbabwe’s most beautiful and popular regions. Just 35 km south of Bulawayo. This National Park in Zimbabwe is easily accessed, remarkable and a true gem to be explored.

Weather:

In Bulawayo, the wet season is partly cloudy, the dry season is windy and clear, and it is warm year round. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 47°F to 85°F and is rarely below 43°F or above 93°F.

The Great Zimbabwe

The greatest medieval city in sub-Saharan Africa, the World Heritage–listed Great Zimbabwe is one of the nation’s most treasured sights. Great Zimbabwe is where the Nation of Zimbabwe derives its name from.

Weather:

Hot season is in January, October, November and December, most rainfall is seen in January, February and December. Masvingo has dry periods in May, June, July, August and September. On average, the warmest month is October, the coolest month is July, December is the wettest month.

Hwange National Park

Hwange National Park is one of the world’s last great Elephant sanctuaries and the largest national park in Zimbabwe. Covering more than 14,600 square kilometers(5,863 square miles) or 1,460,000 hectares it has more animals and a greater variety of species, more than any other park in the country.

November is the hottest month in Hwange with an average temperature of 26°C (80°F) and the coldest is July at17°C (62°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 12 in September. The wettest month is January with an average of 63.4mm of rain.

Lake Kariba

Lake Kariba stands as world’s largest man-made lake and reservoir by volume. The lake is 280 kms long and 40 kms at its widest. It offers spectacular views, stunning sunsets, great fishing, boating opportunities, water sports and wonderful relaxing holidays.

Mutare Town

Mutare, formally Umtali, is the fourth largest city in Zimbabwe and is also the capital of the Manicaland Province. It is beautifully located within a bowl-like valley surrounded by mountains. The picturesque mountain range divides Zimbabwe and Mozambique, with the border being just 8km away.

Mana Pools

Mana Pools National Park is a 219,600 ha wildlife conservation area and national park in northern Zimbabwe. Manapools National Park is a WORLD HERITAGE SITE based on its pure wilderness and beauty, It is home to a wide range of mammals, over 350 bird species and aquatic wildlife.
